Friskney All Saints Church of England Primary School

Enjoyment is the Key to Success

Our wonderful headteacher

I   am Mr Borrell and I am privileged to be the Headteacher of this school. I am not as old as I look but I have been a teacher for 44 years and this is my fourth headship.  Before I came here my hair was not grey (children or more likely staff was the cause).  I enjoy what I do very much and work very hard for the benefit of all pupils.  I live locally and I like everyone to be involved as much as possible in the life of our Friskney community.  I believe in educating the whole child and giving them experiences that will stay with them for the remainder of their lives. I believe in children taking part in sports and artistic events and having the opportunity to perform in front of an audience or spectators. We all make mistakes but the important thing is to learn from them. I have been known to support Grimsby Town Football Club and have a passing acquaintance with 'The Muppets.'  The children say I am the master of the 'debrief' I am unsure why!

Deputy Head

Our Amazing deputy head

I am Miss Vines and am Deputy Head at Friskney All Saints. I have been teaching for 9 years here at Friskney All Saints.  I trained to be a teacher in Hull before my move to the East Coast! I currently teach Year 4, Blue Class but I have taught in other year groups too and lead many subjects in school.  My favourite subjects to teach are Mathematics and RE and I believe that the happiest children are the ones with open minds!  I also run a cheerleading club with Mrs Clark, we love dancing and cheering with our wonderful little boppers.  I enjoy shopping and am always most at ease when searching for a bargain or two!  I am a competitive soul and can sometimes get a bit excitable...I sometimes need to remember to turn down the volume! I love visiting my friends when I'm not at school.

I believe enjoyment is the key to success.

I am Mrs Clark and I teach in Year 6, Violet Class.  I have been teaching at this school for 6 years.  I love teaching children and watching them learn.  My favourite subject to teach is Literacy as I am a keen reader and writer.   I love encouraging children to paint pictures with words!  I am also the school's SENCo and believe in supporting the holistic child.  I run an after school cheerleading club with Miss Vines and we love to create snazzy dance routines to entertain people with.  I love spending time with my wonderful family and amazing friends.  Unfortunately I am ALWAYS shopping and have passion for new shoes and handbags.  I simply adore Disney and adding a touch of sparkle to everything that I do!  My motto in life is to be a flamingo amongst a flock of pigeons.

I am Mrs Shears and I teach Early Years Foundation Stage, Red Class.  I am in my fifth year of teaching but I have worked with children for over twenty years - this has been with children in residential care and in the inspection of children's services.  I trained to be a teacher in 2010 in Lincoln and I am married to another local teacher (who you may know!).  I have three wonderful sons ages 12, 9 and 6.  I love cooking and camping in our tent with my family (preferably somewhere hot!).  I have the best job in the world!

My name is Miss Hall and I teach Year One children

I am new to Friskney as of June 2016 and have taught previously for two years. You will find me in Orange Class working with my superstar Year 1's! I studied in Lincoln for my English and Education degree - I really enjoy a good book and a cup of tea! When I am not at school I like to try and travel to lots of interesting cities around the world and love a good day out in the sunshine. My favourite subjects to teach are Topic, Design Technology, Art and Literacy. Working at Friskney is fun and full of exciting events throughout the year!

My name is Mrs Lenton (or Mrs Lovely Lenton as many of the children call me). I have been a teacher at Friskney School since September 2000 – gosh doesn’t time fly when you are enjoying yourself. However I have actually been teaching since September 1987 and as I say to the children in my class, ‘I have been there, done that and got the t-shirt!’  I am now teaching Year 2 children but I have taught in KS2, KS1 and Foundation Stage. In school my favourite subjects are pretty much everything!

Outside school I was in Wainfleet Theatre Club for over 20 years and especially enjoyed performing in the annual pantomime. I enjoy spending time with my family and love to go on holiday with them both home (Costa del Bluebell) and abroad (Disney). I also enjoy watching sports events live such as The London Olympics, the Paralympics and the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. My sporting hero, beside my husband, is Steven Gerrard! My husband says I watch too much television especially films, my favourite at the moment being ‘Leap Year’ – I know EVERY LINE! I love to watch Strictly and I love anything sparkly.

My name is Miss Goodwin and I teach year 3 children.

I have recently joined the Friskney family after moving back to the East Coast from Leeds.  I trained to be a teacher in Leeds and also taught there for 1 year before I decided I missed the fish and chips and arcades at Skegness too much so I moved back into the area. My favourite subjects to teach are Topic and Mathematics but I love teaching everything!  I work with Miss Hall  to run a construction club for KS1 where you can find us building anything and everything from your recycling.  When I am not at school,  I enjoy shopping and find it really hard to resist buying myself some new clothes or shoes! I also love to spend time with my friends and family. If I'm not doing either of these you'll find me relaxing on the sofa watching a good film!

I am Miss Carter, I teach in Year 5 (Indigo Class).  I am about to start my second year of teaching and particularly enjoy teaching PE and Mathematics.  I run a cooking club in school with Key Stage 1 children.  I studied 'Education and Sport' in Lincoln and then moved further afield to study teaching in Canterbury.  I am a keen sportswoman and play for a local netball team.  I am a competitive player and love to try any new sports.  My passion is attending sports events such as NFL.  My preferred football team is Walsall (someone has to!)

I am Mrs Banham and I  teach in Blue Class (year 4), Violet Class (year 6)  and Yellow Class (year 2). I have been a teacher for 22 years.  I have a passion for Science and investigating, it is so much fun!  I have even been known to send rockets across the playground, make Coca Cola explode and set out the Solar System on the school field. I am firm but fair, but also very kind, helpful and funny. I live on a farm and enjoy helping out with any farm chores.   I like to do mountain biking in my spare time.
