At Friskney All Saints we are very lucky to have our own kitchen and cooks and so we produce all our hot school meals from scratch using healthy local produce and keeping in line with food and nutrition guidelines. Meals cost £2.30 per day and currently over 90% of children regularly have hot school meals in Years R, 1 & 2 and numbers are increasing amongst older pupils who are beginning to realise what great food they are missing out on if they bring a packed lunch!
We have a 3 week rolling menu which is we are working on at being changed about 3 times per year. Apart from the main hot meal option, there is always a jacket potato alternative and there is always a salad bar, home made bread, fruit, and cheese and biscuits available. Word is spreading about how good our food is as we currently supply another local school and a nursery and have enquiries from others.
